The C-884 Medium Cutting Torch is a tripod' mounted laser used by the Terran Confederation in various operations, such as boarding parties.
Description[]
The torch is designed for cutting through non-reinforced bulkheads and airlocks and has a structural cutting range of 2m. It can also be used as a short-range anti-personnel weapon in emergencies, since its offensive range reaches 7m.
It stands on a tripod mount which can be adjusted in height from 0.1m to 1.6m above the deck.
It is powered by a sealed, rechargeable power cell, and can sustain up to 1h of continuous operation.
