The fictional Sartha light fighter is a Kilrathi light fighter from Chris Roberts's Wing Commander series of computer games. Its first appearance was in the computer game Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi.

AboutEdit

In the fictional Wing Commander universe, The Kilrathi light fighter only has hard point for a single missile in addition to the fighter's guns. Large numbers of these light fighters have been built.

The Kilrathi Sartha is a light fighter comparable to the Confederation Epee or Ferret light fighters. Like the light Confederation fighters, the Kilrathi fighters' incredible speed and agility made it ideal for patrols. While the fighter's shields and armor are extremely weak, the Sartha is at most dangerous when confronting the enemy in swarms. When attacking, the Sartha's neutron guns can quickly knock down the shields of an opposing fighter. By the Battle of Earth in the year 2668, the Sartha light fighters would be replaced by the Kilrathi's newer Darket light fighters.

Wing Commander AcademyEdit

The Strakha stealth fighter makes an appearance in the animated television series Wing Commander Academy. They appear throughout the series, starting from Episode 2: The Last One Left. The fighter in the series shares the same look and design as the one in the game Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi,.

The only known difference is the fighter's weapon arsenal. In Academy, the Strakha is equipped with two laser cannons and two missile hard points. In the game Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi, The Sartha fighters are equipped with two neutron guns and one missile hard point.
